Pictures and Details of ASUS’s upcoming X79 chipset based P9X79 Deluxe Motherboard have been revealed. The motherboard like all other X79 based boards would support the Upcoming Sandy Bridge-E Processors compatible with the LGA-2011 socket. According to Taiwan manufacturer’s, The SB-E Platform launches next month on November 4.
The motherboard is equipped with 8 DDR3 DIMM Slots (Four on each sides of the socket) which feature a Quad Channel Memory Interface. Expansion slots include 4 PCI-e x16 3.0 and 2 PCI-e x1 Slots. The VRM and Power Phase is equipped with large heatsinks which are connected together through heatpipes to transfer the heat load. The X79 Chipset (Southbridge) also comes with a huge heatsink bearing the ASUS Logo and a Silver/Blue Theme just like ASUS’s other motherboards.
Storage options include four SATA 6Gbps and four SATA 3Gbps ports along with ten USB2.0 ports while the I/O has two eSATA ports, Dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio output interface and Clear CMOS Switch. The motherboard being high end also features tons of overclocking features such as on-board quick switch, reset button, Debug LED, Clear CMOS. Pricing of the board is unknown.
