The Looks
The ASUS Sabertooth P67 is a good looking motherboard in brown and dark brown color. The two PCI-E slots are properly spaced, all SATA ports, headers and power connectors are well placed for a neat and easy access connection. The Thermal Armor catches my attention the only board that comes in this kind of bullet vest like suit.
Asus claims that it has two main purpose first, to protect the system against the heat generated by the Video Cards and other components second, to improve air circulation. Does it really performs the job or is it just a plain gimmick?

Testing the Sabertooth P67
Testing the Sabertooth P67 using the Core i7 2600K processor will never let us down. Setting at the speed of 4.6GHz with the original clock of 3.4GHz is very stable. That was a 1.4GHz additional speed that shows a tremendous increased in its performance.
The next test will be the Thermal Armor. Using its Thermal Radar you can easily detect its effectiveness with the Vest and without the Vest in a certain point of time. I can see an increase in heat of more or less 3degrees in CPU and other various parts without the Thermal Armor. I can say that additional air ventilation can do the same job done.
Conclusion
The Sabertooth P67 shows an impressive performance with many great features and lots of overclocking capabilities. The Thermal Armor doesn’t show that much impressive but the looks really does it can save an extra power without adding an extra chassis fan. The Looks
The GA-P67A-UD4-B3 board looks bad in all black color PCB design. Everything in this board is black from PCI-E slots, PCI slots to DIMM slots. Heatsink over the MOSFET’s and Chipset are made of aluminum comes in gray color with blue stripe at the end.
The two PCI-E slots are well spaced and doesn’t cause any distractions in Video cards. The SATA ports are all well placed including the DIMMs for a neat and easy to access layout. The 4 SATA 3GB/s ports are in black and the 2 SATA 6GB/s are in white. A very eye catchy looks that I should say a gamers’ choice of colors.

Based on the actual testing of this board on various reviews the GA-P67A-UD4-B3 is a great performer that is more than expectation. It shows a very good benchmark scores considering its price range. It shows a 90% scaling in SLI in 2 PCI-E x8. It performs fast in data transfer using the SATA 3GB/s and the SATA 6GB/s. It also shows an incredible overclocking speed that can easily reach a stable 4.9GHz for the intel Core i7 2600K with the base clock of 3.4GHz that was an additional 1.5GHz increase in its performance.
There is no doubt that Gigabyte is making a big statement with the GA-P67A-UD4-B3 since they started the GA-X58-UD3R in socket 1366 and the AM3 GA-890GPA-UD3H.
Conclusion
The GA-P67A-UD4-B3 is truly a great performer. This board uses top grade materials to make it durable and has many overclocking possibilities. The looks
The P8P67-M Pro has the look that is traditionally distinguish by an ASUS board with a combination of black and blue. This board comes in a form of micro ATX but not to the point of a very crowded layout.
All SATA ports are well placed in front including the ATX power connector that provides an easy access wiring without the mess. The PCI-E slots are well spaced for proper air breathing when using multiple GPU. Heatsinks that comes in blue color doesn’t have that beefy size but let’s find out if it can handle heats when overclocked.

It also provides an auto tuning for novice users that can easily achieved overclock speed at very stable frequency. Another great overclocking tool is the TurboV that enables you to reach your own desired speed possible to adjust the CPU frequency and its multiplier.
The MemOK! feature ensures your memory boot compatibility. It features fanless thermal solution systems that further eliminate noise. This motherboard uses a high quality polymer capacitor that ensures its durability for longer lifespan.
Testing the ASUS P8P67-M Pro
To have more freedom in overclocking this motherboard we used a K version processor. In this case the core i5 2500K with a stock speed of 3.3GHz is the CPU of choice. The 2500K was overclocked at an amazing sped of 4.7GHz using the Al suite with manual settings. A 1.4GHz increased in speed is fairly noticeable in its performance in running any games.
Using the SLI multi GPU in the first two slots runs smoothly, although you can also use the CrossfireX configuration in this board. At overclocking speed this board can barely withstand an increased in temperature but an additional airflow is highly recommended in running the SLI or CrossfireX configuration.
Conclusion
The ASUS P8P67-M Pro doesn’t disappoint us in running under stress at overclocked speed. Although this board comes in a micro ATX form factor you can be sure of its quality. Admittedly it eliminates some of its key features compare to other P67 motherboard due to its low price range but, it doesn’t sacrifice its performance. A big plus factor is the support for both SLI and CrossfireX multi GPU and a SATA 6GB/s.
